Hiking the Aspen Highlands Bowl | VideoHiking the Highlands Bowl is certainly one of my favorite things to do while visiting the Aspen/Snowmass ski resort.

Not only does it provide quite the opportune location to get some of the best photos in the valley, but you are also presented with the physical challenge of the ascent that can only be made by hiking in.

Join me on this epic summit to the top of the Highlands Bowl, just over a 12,000 foot climb in elevation where, once you reach the top, the only way down is on your board or a pair of skis through Double Black Diamond slopes in waist deep snow!

If you’re looking for other fun activities in Aspen, be sure to check out my post of the top things to do in downtown Aspen, my backcountry adventure snowshoeing off the beaten path in Colorado, and the artistic town of Carbondale just outside of the Aspen/Snowmass valley map.
