As I continued on my road trip west from New York City to Los Angeles, I saw many phenomenal things along the way. The Golden Arch of St. Louis, the quaint city of Indianapolis & even the steamingly delicious philly cheesesteaks of Pennsylvania were all great experiences.
But none of these spots…not even the majestic beauty of Independence Pass could rival that of the natural wonders to be found at Arches National Park in Utah.
Driving deep into the desert and even further away from civilization, my buddy and I arrived in the 110-degree weather, parked the car and began to look for the trails leading towards the world famous natural Arches. Our hike left us stunned at the sheer beauty of such a serene landscape and now it’s time for you to see what the hype is all about.
Enjoy the natural beauty that mother nature, yet again, provided for us here on Earth in today’s photo essay. Just be careful not to break too much of a sweat as you browse through these sizzling moments I managed to catch on camera.
Exploring Arches National Park Desert
Three hours later, drenched in sweat and burning red from the heat, we jumped back in the car to find it sitting at a boiling 118 degrees! Gulping down another warm bottle of water, we drove out of the park and headed for the nearest air conditioned diner to get a bite to eat. The following day we were ready for our next stop…Vegas!
What’s your favorite natural landscape?

We were just there in May, it is amazing! I loved the Skyway arch myself. It was my favorite. Thanks for the awesome pics.
So glad you were able to make it Samantha and thanks for visiting! The arch was pretty cool. 🙂
Great pics of an incredible part of the USA.
I love Moab and grew up visiting the park since I was a kid! There is no beauty like the desert!
I never really appreciated the beauty of the desert until I visited Arches. And now, I totally agree with you! I’m really looking forward to going to the Grand Canyon now! 🙂
Great photographs! The Arches National Park is very high on our list–it looks like such a beautiful area! This just makes us want to go even more!
Glad it’s high on your list Jenna! I know you won’t regret the trip there! 😉
Beautiful! For as much as I love Asia, I’ve been really feeling the need to come back and explore the US. There’s so much of my country I’ve never seen!
This is true! An old man once told me that “you could spend an entire lifetime traveling across North America and still not see everything.” 😉
Amazing photography Ron! We’re heading through Colorado and Utah for a roadtrip in June this year and this just made our list! Thanks for sharing 🙂
You’re welcome Megan! I’ve got a few more places for you to check out along the way as well, make sure you get in touch when the time comes! 😉
I want to go to UTAH! Thanks so much for the inspiration.
You’re welcome Erin! 🙂
Great pictures, love the twin arches! Next time when I’m in Utah!
Thanks! Make sure you go in the Spring or Fall, not in the dead of Summer like I did….the heat can be pretty unforgiving at 112 degrees! 😉
Nice photos! I especially love the one where the moon is rising between the two peaks. Arches has been on my travel bucket list for a while. Need to schedule a road trip out west soon!
I really lucked out with that shot; just happened to have the moon out during the day. But indeed, it created quite a unique picture! 🙂
Great Pictures! I haven’t been there, but now it’s on my list ;-).
The Red Rock Canyon in Las Vegas is really nice, you should check it out while there.
Favorite landscape – Grand Canyon, so far.
Sweet I’ll check it out the next time I swing through…for some reason Vegas is always calling me back! 😛
