For a more rugged coastline to explore, make your way to Cabo de las Huertas where you will spot not one but three coves! Fancy some watersports?  Playa de la Almadraba is a small spot that is big on water activity.  Take a towel, some sunblock and a good book with you to spend the day in bliss.

Indulge in the local culture at a museum!

Soak up some culture by paying a visit to Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Alicante.  This 17th-century building is home to a collection of 20th-century Spanish works of art.  Look out for famous artists such as Picasso and Dali. 

Museo de Bellas Artes Gravina is another fine arts museum, with work from as far back as the middle ages to the Roaring Twenties.

El Barrio is an area brimming with people spilling out of bars on its narrow lanes.  Dance on the three floors of La Mision, drink cocktails at Coscorrón or go to The Little Duke Irish bar.  If you’ve ever been to other cities in Spain such as Barcelona, you’ll find out Alicante’ will give it a run for it’s money!

For a scenic dinner, Restaurante La Ereta is based on the side of Mount Benacantil but the elaborate menu means that this should be reserved as a treat!  For a quick bite in the city centre, Restaurante Nou Manolín is highly rated.  Oh, and one more thing you can’t miss out on fresh seafood dipped right out of the facing sea!
