Sandals work well for warmer climates, but make sure they’re a pair that you can walk in for extended periods of time.

Heels or wedges are a must if you plan to go dancing or out to a fancy restaurant, but again choose ones that you’re able to walk in to prevent your ankles from rolling. Men should pack a pair of loafers or dress shoes that pair well with khakis and slacks.

Weekend trips are meant to be no-fuss, but when it comes to packing you still need to make sure you have the essentials. As long as you bring the proper clothes and shoes, you can usually grab toiletries you forgot at a store when you arrive, so avoid the stress and focus on the fun you’re going to have!
