Have you ever stepped back and watched yourself while on the road? I mean seriously. Have you ever just stepped outside of your normal point of view, looked at yourself and made a non-judgmental assessment of how you react to just about any situation?
What do you do? Do you tend to base your decisions off of the mood that you’re in or do you tend to make fair and non-mood based decisions?
I’m not just talking about while you’re on the road…
but this includes your everyday life decisions as well.
How often have you taken the time to yourself to just gather your composure? A great way to do this is to simply meditate…familiarize yourself with the phrase my friends because it can be a truly life altering practice.
Meditate & Become One with Yourself.
So what is meditation & what does it do? Well…ongoing practice of meditation is said to clear the seven principles of energy located throughout your body all the way from the base of your spine to the crown of your head.
These seven “principles of energy” are known as your chakras and they can have a very powerful as well as a very influential effect on your life. Trust me…I would know. Clearing these “energy centers” have led to a much clearer way of thinking for myself & millions of others around the world.
They have been proven to prevent & eliminate illnesses as well as lower stress levels leading to longer & happier lives amongst many other things. So what are these chakras, where are they located and how can I practice meditation you may be asking? Well, they are described as below:
The Seven Chakras:
Root Chakra
The Root Chakra is located at the base of our spine, just outside of the body & is often referred to as red in color.
The Root Chakra gives energy to the physical body and controls fear as well as increases overall health and helps in keeping you grounded.
Sacral Chakra
The Sacral Chakra is located in the area of your sexual and reproductive organs & is referred to as orange in color.
The Sacral Chakra is your level of sensation, attraction, physical pleasure & is our base for survival needs. With this chakra being balanced we are able to look at other aspects of life more closely, creating desire, which will get us to move, to reach out, to grow and to change.
Solar Chakra
The Solar Chakra is located halfway between your naval and ribcage & is referred to as yellow in color.
Governing your center for self-direction, self-control, personal will and physical energy, a balanced Solar Chakra will result in high self-esteem and the ability to accept responsibility for yourself as well as assuming personal authority.
Heart Chakra
Located near your heart and in the very center of your chest, the Heart Chakra tends to be green in color.
This fourth Chakra serves as your domain for human intimacy and is the basis in giving you the ability to feel joy, unity, laughter and especially, love-the very highest power in your life. It expands your capacity to be generous, sensitive, forgiving and tolerant.
Throat Chakra
As the fifth entryway to the other 7 Chakras in your life, the Throat Chakra is located in the throat & neck region of your body, extending upwards to the very base of your brain, blue in color.
A clean & well-balanced Throat Chakra will result in better clarification & expression, your basis for communication and is known for being the “transmitter” of truth, freedom & clarity.
Third Eye Chakra
The Third Eye Chakra, located in the center of your forehead just between the brows, is indigo in color & serves as your basis for psychic abilities.
A well balanced Third Eye Chakra is indicated by intuition, understanding and the ability to trust others as well as your perception on life.
Crown Chakra
Located at the very top of your head, the Crown Chakra is often referred to as the “Thousand-Petal Lotus” representing infinity & is associated with the color violet.
Encompassing all of your senses, the seventh Crown Chakra connects you to universal consciousness, your Higher Self, spiritual enlightenment, inner wisdom, and unity. If well-balanced, your Crown Chakra can connect you to infinite wisdom and pure unbelievable consciousness.
By balancing all of your chakras and practicing the art of meditation you will not believe the impact it can have on your life. I’ve been practicing for some years now and I can honestly say that I am in a much better state now than I have ever been in before.
No Matter What Culture, There’s a Universal Peace Within Us All.
But it doesn’t stop just there…you don’t have to just practice meditation, you can do all sorts of things to help eliminate the stress in your life and to clear your mind. By simply surrounding yourself by the right people…or a good community you can really see a night and day difference.
Just like when you’re out on the road let’s say in…Costa Rica. Someone stole something from you and you’re extremely upset about it. You have the right to be…I mean who wouldn’t be upset. But what’s done is done. Let bye gones be bye gones, let it go and make a decision from a universal mindset.
Find a Community at Peace with Itself.
By continuing simple practices such as meditation, where you take the time to yourself and gather your composure, I’ve seen big differences in my experiences in travelling as well as everyday life.
Take a moment. Take a breath. Think. Then React.
You’ll be surprised with the difference it can make in your life. And what’s the worse that can happen? You may relax a little…God knows that’s forbidden in todays society! 😉

I don’t meditate daily but I find yoga really helps me find peace when things are chaotic.
Yoga is another excellent source for escaping the mundane lifestyle we all are sucked into in order to relax. I’ve met many friends while traveling that use both techniques of yoga and meditation and I must say each person I’ve seen use these practices are in a world of their own…but in a good way! 🙂
