When Anna Kate from the Legendary Adventures of Anna contacted me and told me she was swinging through my neck of the woods I was truly ecstatic!
It took me a little while to figure out exactly what I could show her about the area and what it had to offer. What was the best way to make her fall in love with the beauty of Aspen just as I had 4 years ago when I first traveled here?
Well, why not explore the backcountry!
After all, that’s where I first decided that Aspen would be the perfect place to set up a base. Between the limitless amount of outdoor activities, unspoiled terrain, and friendly faces downtown, this was literally one of the best places I’ve ever stepped foot in; regardless of how different it was between hiking in the summer or snowboarding in the winter.
But I digress; enjoy this photo essay of all the shenanigans we got into while getting a locals tour of Aspen, Colorado, USA!

Independence Pass & the Continental Divide
I hope you enjoyed coming along for our ridiculously fun trip! Have you ever taken a weekend adventure along Independence Pass or Aspen, Colorado?
Awesome photos! You guys obviously lived the dream in Aspen. Too cool!
Haha thanks Charlie! Aspen is a great place to explore and do just that! 😉
The mountains are amazing, in the summer and in the winter! Looks like you had a great time. I also love meeting fellow bloggers! Just a question – what is continental divide?
Meeting fellow travel bloggers is definitely something I enjoy doing as well! The continental divide is basically the point at which the water either begins to drain East or West. It stretches as far North as Alaska and all the way South towards South America and down to the Atlantic.
Looks beautiful- perfect place to spend a couple days in the summer. Also loving the bonfire, and do I see s’mores? Who couldn’t fall in love with that? 🙂
Hahaha you’ve got that right. S’mores are the way to seal just about any friendship!
Oh my gosh these photos are absolutely beautiful! Wow. Looks like you both had an incredibly fun time 🙂
Thanks Alli, we sure did. Thanks for swinging by and enjoying the view! 🙂
Haha you guys looked like you had a ton of fun! I’ve heard amazing things about Aspen, especially Maroon Bells and it looks gorgeous! Summer must just be spectacular over there. Hmm I will have to add this to my USA road trip list. It just keeps getting bigger and bigger haha.
Hahaha the more you discover, the more you’re going to want to add onto that list! I’ve done a few road trips across the USA myself. If you need any advice, do let me know! 🙂
