New York City is quite an appealing place. It is literally one of the few places in the world that, if you don’t like the scenery of where you’re at just turn the corner and you’re in an entirely different environment.
Not to mention the number of things you can do there from hiking the High Line Park to exploring the markets of Chinatown, even for your typical backpacker on a shoestring budget (like myself), there’s still plenty to see and do in the Big Apple. Take a look at this video I put together with just a few thing to explore that’s both free and cheap. Enjoy!
What would you recommend to do if on a shoestring budget while in the NYC?
I wrote an article about NYC a few weeks ago (although I have never been there) and I have been dreaming about eating pastrami. Have you tried it there?
Hey Jo! I’ve had a pastrami before, just not in New York City. I can tell you one thing though, New Yorkers make some pretty good sandwiches though so I’d imagine that it’d be out of this world! 🙂
Visit the Brooklyn Brewery for a fun activity on the cheap. Beer sampling and a tour all included for under $10 last I went.
Thats a great inclusion, thanks. Last time I went I visited a beer garden that was pretty sweet, but not so much on the budget side lol
NYC is incredible. There’s always things going on, I love the ones that are a little more budget friendly though. Great video!
Wow, where’d you get all those insider tips? 😉
From you! It was awesome meeting you Jackie! 😀
Awesome video post! NYC pizza is the best!
